the start of a new chapter

This week, Bryson went out to Colorado to defend all his theology and interview with the Board of Ordained Ministry. This is kind of like a defense of a thesis. He needs to be approved by the Board of Ordained Ministry before he is allowed to go up for appointment. He passed with flying colors. I had no worry about him passing. But it was definitely a relief to be approved as commissioning as a provisional elder in the United Methodist Church.

This now means, though, that we are officially starting this process of appointment. I know the next few months could be a complete roller coaster of emotions... and it could also be no roller coaster and just lots of sadness when they move us to the middle of nowhere Wyoming and I have to leave my friends and supports here. All we can do now is lean on each other for support and the Lord to pull us through.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will never fail nor abandon you." - Deuteronomy 31:8
